AIM: The purpose of this study was to analyze the determinants of stunting prevention in relation to mothers with children aged 6–24 months in Madura Indonesia. METHODS: The design of this study was cross-sectional. The number of samples totaled 109 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. The independent variables were knowledge, attitudes, income, cultural values, and parenting. The dependent variable was stunting prevention. The data were collected using a questionnaire and then analyzed using the Chi-square test with a significance level of α _< 0.05. RESULTS: The factors associated with stunting prevention were knowledge (p = 0.007), attitude (p = 0.034), income (p = 0.006), cultural values (p = 0.016), and parenting patterns (p = 0.000). CONCLUSIONS: Knowledge, attitude, income, cultural values, and parenting influenced the parent’s strategy when it came to prevent stunting in their children. Stunting prevention programs should focus on improving parental behavior by modifying these factors.

This study is a qualitative research to describe and analyze the role of mothers as informal educators in stimulating motor development of early childhood in Kedung Jaya Village, Bogor. The problem in this research is formulated as follows: what is the role of mothers as informal educators in stimulating motor development of early childhood in Kedung Jaya Village, Bogor? The method in this study used a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The selection of data sources using purposive sampling, namely mothers with early childhood who live in Kedung Jaya Village, Bogor totaling 3 mothers and 4 children. Collecting data using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis includes 3 phases, namely: data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. Based on the exposure and research findings, it was found that the role of mothers as informal educators in stimulating motor development of early childhood has not shown ideal results. Optimizing the role of mothers as informal educators will have a major impact on the motor development of early childhood. Mother's success in stimulating children's motor development is influenced by age, education level, knowledge, living environment, mother's physical condition and family's socioeconomic conditions. Motor development of early childhood is one of the important aspects of development for the future of children, therefore researchers recommend two important things that can be done by mothers in an effort to improve motor development of early childhood, namely.

Masalah gizi lebih rentan dialami oleh anak-anak. Permasalahan yang dihadapi di perkotaan dan perdesaan cukup banyak, salah satunya adalah permasalahan gizi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara pekerjaan orang tua, pendapatan, pendidikan, pengetahuan, serta pola makan dengan status gizi balita di perdesaan dan perkotaan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Tonggolobibi Desa Tonggolobibi Palu dan Puskesmas Sangurara Kota Palu yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-April 2023. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu balita usia 0-59 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tonggolobibi dan wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sangurara Kota Palu sebanyak 1.243 balita. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik accidental sampling diperoleh sampel sebanyak 30 balita di Puskesmas Tonggolobibi dan 63 balita di puskesmas Sangurara. Hasil uji chi-square didapatkan bahwa Berdasarkan hasil peneliitian disimpulkan bahwa pekerjaan orang tua, pendapatan orang tua, tingkat pengetahuan ibu, dan yang berkaitan dengan pola makan yaitu asupan protein dan lemak juga ada hubungan dengan status gizi balita di perkotaan dan di perdesaan. sedangkan pendidikan dan asupan energi hanya di perkotaan yang berhubungan dengan status gizi balita. Sementara, pekerjaan orang tua dan asupan karbohidrat, baik di perkotaan maupun perdesaan tidak ada hubungan dengan status gizi balita. Saran untuk ibu balita agar senantiasas memperhatikan status gizi balita dengan memantau pertumbuhan, asupan makan, dan berat badannya.
