Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients, their families, health workers, and cemetery officials are not only haunted by tragedies of the new coronavirus but are also stigmatized by the community. Stigma can be very detrimental to social life because it can be long-lasting without proper social measures. This qualitative study examined some cases of stigma in Indonesia. The interview was broadcast both live and online by a private television station, on April 15, 2020, and supplementary informationwas obtained from reliable news stories published by various mass media and from interviews with various groups of people. We identified the limited availability of personal protective equipment among health workers, a public lack of clear understanding regarding COVID-19, the distortion of news by various media, and a lack of clarity among those responsible for providing education, information, and communication. The government has not acted in a sufficiently prompt mannerto prevent the spread of imported infectious diseases, resulting in local transmission and creating various stigmasamong local communities. Although the infection has already begun to spread, the government must continue toensure the correct understanding and clear mechanismsfor how to prevent COVID-19 among the public.

In 2016, the Special Region of Yogyakarta ranked 9th as the province with the highest number of people suffering from HIV/AIDS, especially in the Sleman District. Globally, AIDS is the second leading cause of death in adolescents aged 10-19 years. This study to aimed out factors affecting the behavior of adolescents toward HIV/AIDS prevention. This study used a cross-sectional study design. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling that resulted in 59 respondents from 11th-grade students at Sleman 2 Senior High School who were selected as samples. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using Chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. The results showed that most respondents 66.1% had sufficient knowledge. More than a half (54.2%) of students showed supportive attitude. Information was mostly obtained from electronic media. Thirty-one students (52.5%) showed a positive attitude toward HIV/AIDS prevention. Chi-square test result showed that factors significantly related to adolescent's behavior toward HIV/AIDS prevention were knowledge and attitude. The most influential variable was attitude (p-value = 0.008; PR = 4.4; 95% CI = 1.4-13.1). AbstrakDaerah Istimewa Yogyakarta pada tahun 2016 menempati urutan ke-9 sebagai provinsi dengan penderita HIV/AIDS terbanyak dan tertinggi diduduki Kabupaten Sleman. Secara global, AIDS merupakan penyebab kematian kedua pada remaja umur 10-19 tahun. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku remaja terhadap pencegahan HIV/AIDS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Teknik sampling stratified random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 59 responden kelas XI di Senior High School 2 Sleman. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dan dianalisis secara univariat, bivariat, dan multivariat menggunakan uji Chi-square dan regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa pengetahuan tentang HIV/AIDS terbanyak pada kategori cukup, 66,1% responden. Sikap terhadap pencegahan HIV/AIDS terbanyak pada kategori mendukung, 54,2% responden. Sumber informasi mayoritas diperoleh dari media elektronik sebanyak 49,2%. Perilaku terhadap pencegahan HIV/AIDS terbanyak pada kategori positif, 52,5% responden. Hasil uji Chi-square faktor yang berhubungan secara signifikan dengan perilaku remaja terhadap pencegahan HIV/AIDS adalah tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap. Faktor yang paling mempengaruhi perilaku remaja terhadap pencegahan HIV/AIDS adalah sikap (nilai p = 0,008; PR = 4,4; CI 95% = 1,4-13,1).

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penurunan perolehan kursi yang didapatkan Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDI-Perjuangan) Sumatera Barat pada Pemilu 2019 karena perubahan lingkungan kelembagaan yaitu sistem Pemilu serentak menimbulkan efek ekor jas yang kuat. Masyarakat yang memilih Capres secara linear akan memilih Partai yang paling identik dengan pengusung Capres tersebut. Jokowi yang sejak Pemilu 2014 memiliki suara yang rendah di Sumatera Barat mempengaruhi perolehan suara PDI-Perjuangan karena merupakan Partai yang paling identik dengan Jokowi. Maka menarik untuk melihat apa saja strategi yang dilakukan oleh PDI-Perjuangan Sumatera Barat untuk menghadapi efek ekor jas dari figur Jokowi dan mengamankan kursi legislatif pada Pemilu serentak 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif tipe studi kasus. Pada saat penelitian, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi bersama informan yang dipilih dengan teknik Puposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada dasarnya PDI-Perjuangan memanfaatkan efek ekor jas dari kadernya yang sudah memiliki ketokohan di tengah masyarakat untuk memperoleh suara rakyat. Selain itu Partai juga melakukan sosialisasi sekaligus pendekatan kepada masyarakat dengan memberikan berbagai bantuan sosial. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan Teori Kelembagaan atau Institusionalisme karena mampu menjelaskan rasionalitas posisi PDI-Perjuangan sebagai sebuah institusi dalam lingkungan kelembagaannya di Sumatera Barat baik secara formal maupun informal.
