“…For both vulvar cancer and VIN, the highest HPV prevalence was observed among studies using PCR with a combination of consensus primers although not statistically significant in the multivariate test. This can be explained by the use of combined primer sets in a nested or semi‐nested PCR in three out of 10 studies which is likely to provide higher sensitivity to detect HPV DNA . In the other studies using a combination of consensus primers, two separate PCR tests were performed sequentially and samples testing positive in at least one PCR test contributed to the prevalence.…”
