“…Miq. (You et al, ). The ranking of TFC values of the D. rupestre extracts was in the same order as TPC, and the highest TFC was found in EAF at 426.70 mg RE/g which was 13‐fold than WF.…”

“…In past decades, a few polyynes and phenolics were discovered in both O. horridus and O. elatus , which were reported to display antioxidant activity . Meanwhile, the antioxidant capacity of O. horridus was assayed in terms of the determination of total phenolic content, oxygen radical absorbance capacity and DPPH free radical scavenging activity, which showed that approximate 85% of the DPPH free radicals could be scavenged by the methanol extract of the root of O. horridus at the concentration of 2.8 mg/mL . In comparison, the methanol extract of the root of O. elatus showed better capacity to scavenge the same free radicals as O. horridus at the concentration of 758.6 μg/mL.…”

“…The DPPH free radical scavenging activity of extract from the root of O. elatus was carried out according to the method described in the literature . Briefly, 25 μL of sample (4.0 mg/mL) was mixed with 40 μL of DPPH methanol solution (0.4 mg/mL), and then the mixture was made up with methanol to a final volume of 250 μL.…”

“…Miq. exhibited anti-proliferative effects against human colon adenocarcinoma cells (HT-29; 56.5% inhibition with a 0.2 mg/ml extract)(69). Chicoric acid, in synergy with luteolin was found to act as an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory agent in mouse macrophage cells (RAW 264.7; luteolin:chicoric acid =1:1, 1:2, 1:4 where IC 50 of luteolin was 11.6, 9.8 and 9.8 µM, respectively) (70).…”
