Abstract: Abstract. The aim of this paper is to review recent research on negative and positive crossover from work to family and from family to work in couples. “…These findings partially confirm that a person's depression may negatively affect their partner's well-being (Fowler & Gasiorek, 2017;Marguerite et al, 2017) although our results indicate that this bidirectional association mainly affects well-being in the family domain. This is especially relevant in dual-earner parents, such as those in our study, because they must coordinate their lives in the work and family domains, including the multiple demands associated with raising children (Steiner & Krings, 2016).
