Abstract: Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a syndrome characterized by a hyperinflammatory state due to an aberrant activation of the immune cells. It can be familial or secondary to malignancy, autoimmune or metabolic diseases. Most HLH cases are triggered by infection.
