Background and objectives: Infections caused by resistant bacteria are a growing public health problem that is linked to many different causes, among them the antibiotics’ incorrect use plays an important role. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) the most dangerous behaviors are the early interruption of antibiotic therapy and the use of molecules without appropriate prescription. The authors conducted a systematic review to assess if antibiotic prescription with different regimens is connected to the onset of bacterial resistance. Methods: The authors performed an electronic and manual literature search on four databases (Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, and Cochrane Register of Controlled Trials) from their inception to 15 June 2019. The date of the last search was 27 November 2019. Any article comparing cultural or genic analysis of resistance in patients that took antibiotics with at least two different regimens was included. No language restrictions were applied. Risk of bias for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) was assessed using the Cochrane collaboration’s tool whereas case-control and cohort studies were evaluated through the Newcastle–Ottawa scale. Results: The initial search resulted in a total of 1744 titles. After careful evaluation of all results, only three studies satisfied the outcome of the present review. From the qualitative analysis of data, it emerges that even if antibiotics are administered for a shorter period than the conventional one the species that inhabit the oral cavity can adapt quickly and express genes of antibiotic resistance. Additional evidence from this analysis is that not only does the proportion of resistant bacteria increase in the oral cavity, but also in more distant districts such as the intestine. Conclusions: Despite the great number of studies retrieved by electronic databases only few studies investigated the target of this review. The reason for this evidence is that it is not ethical to investigate and compare different antibiotic regimens, shorter or longer than the appropriate one. This evidence is applicable both to prophylactic administrations and to those aimed at treating infections. Besides this, the WHO affirms that, in the absence of infective complications, the prescription of antibiotic after every type of surgical intervention cannot be admitted and that studies dealing with antibiotic regimens that do not comply with drug’s pharmacodynamics characteristics cannot be ethically admitted. A remoção cirúrgica dos terceiros molares inferiores é um dos procedimentos cirúrgicos mais realizados em odontologia. Não há evidências para apoiar a remoção profilática de terceiros molares inferiores; em contraste, no caso de condições patológicas relacionadas ao terceiro molar mandibular, a remoção pode ser considerada. As alterações patológicas podem ser sintomáticas ou assintomáticas. Sendo, portanto, o objetivo do presente trabalho apresentar a impacção dos terceiros molares como um problema de saúde caracterizando a importância desses conhecimentos para o Cirurgião-dentista. Será realizada uma revisão de literatura a partir da busca nos bancos de dados PubMed e LiLacs para identificar as publicações disponíveis no período de 2009 a 2019. As seguintes palavras-chave serão utilizadas na busca: “Terceiros Molares Inclusos” em português e em inglês. Serão excluídos, resumos e resumos expandidos, estudos experimentais não finalizados, artigos latino-americanos. Os artigos encontrados serão separados e adicionados no Mendeley para identificação de duplicatas, após a exclusão das duplicatas serão lidos os títulos para a primeira etapa da seleção dos artigos, em seguida a leitura dos resumos que terá caráter de exclusão ou permanência do manuscrito e por fim a leitura do artigo na íntegra para composição da revisão da literatura.

To analyze the stress distribution of the maxillary central incisor with oblique fracture, repaired by different methods, using 3-dimensional finite element analysis. From the biomechanical point of view, it is expected to provide a reference for clinical selection of restoration method which is more conducive to stress distribution and preservation of dental tissue as much as possible. Use cone beam CT and finite element software to establish the finite element models of the maxillary central incisor with oblique fracture, and then create models according to 5 repairing methods(A. fiber post-core-crown group; B. cast post-core-crown group; C.3 mm deep endocrown; D.4 mm deep endocrown; E.5 mm deep endocrown)after root canal treatment, and analyze the Von Mises equivalent stress and maximum principal stress distribution and peak value of each model. When the height of dentin ferrule was fixed, the value of the Von Mises equivalent stress and the maximum principal stress in residual tooth tissue: group A was the highest, and there was no significant difference in group B, C, D and E. And the stress distribution area of 5 groups were the same. In prosthodontic layer: group B was the highest, while group A was the lowest, and the stress peak slightly increased with the increase of depth in group C, D and E. And the 5 groups were with the same stress distribution area as well. In adhesive layer: group A was the highest, while group B was the lowest, and there was little difference among group C, D and E. Group A was concentrated in 1/3 of the post tip, while group B,C,D and E were concentrated in 1/3 of the post and the post tips. Complete and high enough dentin ferrule is a requirement for repairing heavily defected maxillary central incisor with fiber post-core crown and cast post-core crown. When the dentin ferrule is incomplete, the stress distribution of the endocrown is more excellent than post-core-crown. And the endocrown with a depth of 3 mm retainer may be the best repair method. As for post-core crown restoration, the cast post-core crown is more favorable for the uniform distribution of residual tooth tissue than the fiber post-core crown.
