Abstract:Institutions are not “simply” cognitive entities composed of shifting, tunable networked coalitions of cognitive subcomponents. Institutions are cultural artifacts that, through the epigenetic modes of historical trajectory and the Lamarckian heritage of doctrine, have distinct cultural identities.
