“…That's quickly replaced by some sort of sadness and depression to some extent … this patient trusted me and my team to do something and we betrayed that trust. So I think for me that's the path of emotions that I follow: initial shock and horror followed by sadness and depression followed by a component of guilt and then self‐doubt’.
