How independent are independent psychological examinations? A workers' compensation dilemma.

Abstract: In recent years there has been an increasing demand for clinicians to conduct independent psychological examinations (IPEs) of persons involved in work-related injuries, with referrals coming from insurance carriers and attorneys.
