Abstract: Heteropoly acids, HPA are well known solid acid and oxidation catalysts that find application in hetergeneous and homogeneous reactions. In the former, surface area and stability problems are diminshed by supporting the HPA. Typical supports include oxide substrates and porous carbon materials.
