Understanding the impact of the digital economy on agriculture in developing countries holds significant importance in enhancing agricultural production and addressing hunger-related challenges. This study uses panel data of 35 SSA countries from 2006 to 2021 and investigates the relationship between digital economy and agriculture using dynamic regression models. The impact mechanism is also analyzed using mediating models. The results show that the digital economy has a positive impact on agriculture through the increase of agricultural productivity, human capital accumulation and the improvement of government governance. The effects of the digital economy are larger in countries with higher and lower levels of agricultural development, significant in middle-income countries, and insignificant in low-income countries. This study may provide a better understanding of the nexus between digital economy and agricultural development, and offer valuable insights for governments in developing nations to formulate relevant and effective policies.

Purpose: This research investigates the e-voting system in the United Arab Emirates by comparing European countries such as the UK, Switzerland, and Netherlands experiences. Theoretical framework: The current research consists of an introduction and the definition of e-voting in addition to the advantages and risks of the e-voting system, no ultimate judgment, e-voting as a subject of structuration, legal and technical guarantees for e-voting, types, and techniques of e-voting, e-voting in Europe, and e-voting in the United Arab Emirates. Design/Methodology/Approach: It should be noted that descriptive and analytical methods have been adopted in this study, clarifying the concept of e-voting and then addressing the advantages and risks of e-voting, in addition to comparative approach has been used to compare European countries such as UK, Switzerland, and Netherland from one side, and the United Arab Emirates from the other side. Findings of the paper: The UAE has electronic voting systems that help empower people to vote from anywhere. Research, Practical & Social implications: We suggest using AI in election systems to enhance public participation, empower people, and facilitate people's voting to make it easy and fast. Originality/Value: We propose to create electronic systems for public procurement in the Emirates that do not have electronic systems for public procurement, in addition to continually introducing technical support to the employees to avoid mistakes and to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

The present study focuses on current knowledge of the local tap water and sewage systems among the citizens of three western Romanian localities. Only one of the considered localities in this study, namely, Pecica, partially benefits from access to a centralized tap water and sewerage system. The interest in this subject was caused by a procedure initiated by the local authorities to develop and improve the aforementioned infrastructure. The investigation methodology consisted of an online survey. The generated feedback was optimal for determining the general level of residents’ awareness of water and wastewater quality and the means for informing decisions of community interest. Nearly 75% of the interviewed persons declared that they had not been informed about future regional investments. The results indicated the necessity of raising the residents’ awareness about water quality and its importance for health, daily activities, and the environment. Only a few of the interviewees could provide concrete and accurate values for water quality parameters.
