The past few decades showed inadequate discussion of the impact of employees’ knowledge sharing and its diffusion on advancing banks’ long-term sustainability. The objective of the study is to examine the role of employees’ knowledge sharing on the sustainable performance of the banks operating in Bangladesh. Furthermore, this study tested the “moderated mediation model” of knowledge hiding and employees’ ambidexterity on the association above. The researchers applied the deductive reasoning method through the application of quantitative techniques, using structural equation modeling. Finally, 287 respondents from different banks were chosen through a self-administered questionnaire survey in the capital city of Dhaka. The findings indicated that all the predictor variables significantly explain the outcome variable, except the influence of knowledge sharing. Mediation analysis showed that employees’ ambidexterity mediated the association between knowledge sharing and sustainable performance. Surprisingly, moderation analysis revealed that the influence of knowledge sharing on employees’ ambidexterity is not affected by knowledge hiding. This study adds to the existing literature by demonstrating the importance of knowledge hiding, along with explaining how knowledge sharing can motivate and influence employees to achieve sustainable performances. In addition, the main contribution of this study is to advance knowledge and add values in the forms of knowledge creation, preservation, and dissemination among practitioners, banking professionals, and academics for utilizing their domain-specific areas to increase long-term sustainability.

This paper presents an empirical study on how knowledge management practices and innovation sources affect product innovation performance, among the 152 manufacturers in the low- and high- tech industries in China. The results indicate that external innovation sources are positively correlated with innovation activities and new product performance. Intellectual Property (IP) and knowledge management practices (KMP) are positively correlated with innovation activities, and KMP is positively correlated with innovation sources. The dual effect of KMP shows its indispensable effect on the new product development for both high-tech and low-tech firms, but for low-tech firms, such effect is relatively weak. This empirical study shows that IP management is critical to high-tech but not low-tech firms. We also found that, for innovation activities, low-tech depends on the external sources of innovation whilst high-tech firms do not.

The aim of this paper investigate strategies that could be used for the effective integration of human resource development and knowledge management for sustainable public sector performance. With the calls for improved service delivery in the Botswana Public service sectors, there is need to adopt modern and effective way of managing change in the public sector part of which includes effective management of human resource development foreffectiveness competitive advantage. The only source of sustainable competitive advantage is to learn faster and more creatively than competing organizations. To the Botswana public service the foregoing affirmation remains challenges range from lack of quality leadership to the implementation of swift and effective HRD strategies combined with knowledge management. The methodology used for this paper is desktop research with emphasis on theoretical framework for improving public sector effectiveness. The results of emanating from the theoretical points to a number of strategies for integrating human resource development and knowledge management for sustainable public sector performance. This paper concludes with recommend implementation of relevant strategies are required for the effective human resource development and the management thereoffor a sustained public sector performance.
