Coal, a solid fossil fuel, consists of organic and inorganic matter. Its complex structure contains fused aromatic moieties, constituting a three‐dimensional macromolecular coal structure network. More efficient utilisation technologies are required to ensure coal becomes a considerably cleaner source of energy in the future. Due to the increase in energy, liquid fuels, and combustible gas demands, coal utilisation is necessary for some developing countries such as Pakistan, Turkey, and India. Furthermore, coal is globally being used to produce liquid fuels and combustible gases. The benefits and drawbacks of various Fischer‐Tropsch synthesis catalysts are discussed. For clean coal carbonisation, blends of coal and biomass, which are the current trends in decarbonising the coal industries, should be adopted and the chemistry of coal carbonisation should be investigated further, especially the phenomenon that occurs at the plastic layer (300–550 °C). In addition, the clean co‐gasification technology presented in this work could be adopted and successfully implemented through government and industry initiatives to study and test coal/biomass for co‐gasification and advanced modelling and simulation of the co‐gasification plant.

En la actualidad la tecnología impulsa de manera contundente, los cambios en las Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (PYMEs) generando un gran impacto en los recursos humanos. Esta breve revisión evalúa las ventajas y desventajas de la tecnología de recursos humanos para apoyar la toma de decisiones y la formación en las PYMEs. En este trabajo, se determinan los conceptos y los factores que lideran las aplicaciones de tecnologías basadas en las TIC’s en recursos humanos para un negocio exitoso, y cómo se pueden aplicar para optimizar la gestión de la fuerza laboral y el proceso de toma de decisiones. Los hallazgos sugieren, que los beneficios percibidos de adoptar tecnologías basadas en las TIC’s, están captando la atención de más PYMEs, incluso en países en desarrollo como Ecuador.

Remarkable Spatial Disparity of Life Cycle Inventory for Coal Production in China

Coal is the primary energy source in China, and its life cycle inventory (LCI) is widely used as background data for life cycle assessment studies. Previous research indicates that the inventory of coal production varies regionally. However, the development of complete regionalized LCIs for coal production is quite limited. Here, we establish the first provincial-level LCIs of local coal production and market for coal in China, based on a database of 6,122 coal mines and developed models. In the inventory results of local coal production, the coefficients of variation (CVs) of nine indicators exceed 0.5, especially SO 2 and particulate matter emission factors (CVs > 1). Compared with that, the interprovincial coal trade homogenizes the provincial production inventory of market for coal relatively, despite four indicators with CVs exceeding 0.5. Therefore, the regionalized inventory with remarkable spatial differentiation can provide more accurate fundamental data for future research such as electricity production. Furthermore, CH 4 emissions from coal production account for 24% of China's total methane emissions, highlighting its significance in mitigating global warming. Moreover, through the increasing coal trade, the significant and implicit plunder of water resources from the three coal net-exporting provinces, located in water-scarce areas, should be noted.
