“…These results complement those of H1 where the selectivity was in the order 4Cr > 3Cr > 2Cr. 9 The overall H : G ratios remained consistently 2 : 1, the same ratio as in each of the single solvent experiments.…”

“…Using binary equimolar mixtures of these guests, they found that the selectivity of this host compound for the four guests was in the order 3Cr > 4Cr > phenol > 2Cr. In our own laboratories, 9 H1 (Scheme 1) was demonstrated to possess an affinity for 4Cr: equimolar binary 2Cr/4Cr and 3Cr/4Cr mixtures furnished complexes that had 75.6 and 70.4% 4Cr, while the 2Cr/3Cr experiment failed to crystallize. In that work, the host selectivity was in the order 4Cr (64.9%) > 3Cr (23.8%) > 2Cr (11.3%), as obtained from the equimolar ternary mixed guest experiment.…”

“…The same precursor ion (m/z 355) and fragment ions (m/z 188 and 105) with identical relative abundances were produced during the MS/MS analysis. In this regard, more analytical tools could be experimented for differentiation of these isomers such as derivatization, 62 ion mobility separation, 63 and host−guest chemistry, 64 which are worthy of future dedicated efforts. In addition to isomers, there are a few isobaric structures among fentanyl compounds that have identical nominal mass but different elemental compositions.…”
