Abstract:We developed the rigorous periodic homogenization for a non-linear strongly coupled system, which models suspension of magnetizable rigid particles in a non-conducting carrier viscous Newtonian fluid. The fluid drags the particles, thus alters the magnetic field. Vice versa, the magnetic field acts on the particles, which in turn affect the fluid via the no-slip boundary condition. As the size of the particles approaches zero, our result show that the suspension's behavior is governed by a generalized magnetoh… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
