Винниченка, 30-а, 43025, м. Луцьк, Україна Анотація. Узагальнено основні літературознавчі тенденції з історії дослідження монодрами та окреслено потенційне поле для подальших наукових розвідок. Зазначено, що термін "монодрама" протягом тривалої історії свого існування використовували для позначення наявності одного персонажа у творі, одного актора на сцені, для демонстрації монологічності висловлювання персонажа. Значення терміна часто подавалося через змішування літературознавчої і театрознавчої термінології. Проаналізовано праці німецьких, англійських, американських, українських, російських та ін. літературознавців, зазначено, що їхні наукові розвідки відображають міждисциплінарний підхід у вивченні такого культурно-історичного феномену, як монодрама; пов'язані з монодрамою як театральним жанром, складовою теорії театралізації, формою постановки, психотерапевтичним методом, формою суб'єктивності, особливим поглядом на дійсність і мистецтво.Ключові слова: монодрама, монодраматичний, жанр, історія досліджень, монолог, автор.Наприкінці ХХ ст. особливої актуальності у світовій художній літературі набула монодрама, основною ознакою якої став її загальнокультурний характер. Тенденція до використання цього жанру проявилася в літературному, театральному, музичному, хореографічному мистецтві, у психотерапевтичних дослідженнях тощо. На початку ХХІ ст. монодрама стала об'єктом для теоретичної та критичної рефлексії, викликавши особливе зацікавлення театрознавців, психологів, соціологів тощо.
