Holographic duals of 6d RG flows

Abstract: A notable class of superconformal theories (SCFTs) in six dimensions is parameterized by an integer N , an ADE group G, and two nilpotent elements µ L,R in G. Nilpotent elements have a natural partial ordering, which has been conjectured to coincide with the hierarchy of renormalization-group flows among the SCFTs. In this paper we test this conjecture for G = SU(k), where AdS 7 duals exist in IIA. We work with a sevendimensional gauged supergravity, consisting of the gravity multiplet and two SU(k) non-Abelia… Show more

“…With the truncation ansatz given in [33], it would be of particular interest to uplift the solutions from SO(4) gauged supergravity to type IIB theory and study the field theory on the world-volume of NS5-and D5branes. Using the solutions from SO(5) and CSO(4, 0, 1) gauged supergravities given here to holographically study field theories on M5-branes and NS5-branes also deserves further investigation along the line of [41,42,43]. Finally, finding supersymmetric domain walls with non-vanishing vector and tensor fields as in half-maximal gauged supergravity studied in [44,45,46] is worth considering.…”

“…According to the AdS/CFT correspondence, these critical points correspond to N = (1, 0) SCFTs in six dimensions with SO (4) and SO(3) symmetries, respectively. A holographic RG flow interpolating between these two critical points has already been studied in [33], see also [39] for more general solutions. In subsequent sections, we will find supersymmetric Ad S 3 × M 4 solutions to this N = 2 SO(4) gauged supergravity and RG flow solutions from the above Ad S 7 vacua to these geometries in the IR.…”

“…Finally, in [12], the general supersymmetric solution was found analytically. It was argued to be holographically dual to 6D (1, 0) theories [13][14][15][16], which arise from intersecting NS5/D6/D8-brane systems [17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24]. Consistent truncations of massive type IIA around supersymmetric AdS 7 vacua were studied in [25][26][27].…”
