Hohe Strahlenresistenz der Aktivitt und der lichtinduzierten Aktivittssteigerung der NADP-abhngigen Glycerinaldehyd-3-Phosphat-Dehydrogenase in Ankistrodesmus braunii
Abstract:In Ankistrodesmus braunii, a unicellular alga, the activity of NADP-dependent glyceraldehyde phosphate dehydrogenase (GPD) in darkness is very resistant to X-rays. The light-induced increase in the activity of this enzyme within one minute is also not affected by irradiation. Doses up to 1060 Krad had no inhibitory effect. The increase of GPD activity during the life cycle, however, is very sensitive to X-rays.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
