HIV Incidence Among Women in Sub-Saharan Africa: A Time Trend Analysis of the 2000–2017 Period

Abstract: The aim of this study was to use data from the United Nations Global Indicators Database to analyze the trends in the HIV incidence rate among women in sub-Saharan African countries between 2000 and 2017. The HIV incidence rate is defined as the number of new HIV infections per 1,000 uninfected population, aged 15 to 49 years old.
