HIV and Tuberculosis: Overview

Abstract: Tuberculosis (air borne disease, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis or tubercle bacilli) and HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), enduring human burden, are growing manifold or multiple health problems in the developing world triggering millions of deaths world-over each year. It is crucial to recognize the epidemiology of HIV and tuberculosis involved in transmission and disease progression to comprehend or understand the synergy between the two epidemics.
