History repeats itself: Impact of mental illness on violent reinjury and hospital reencounters among female victims of interpersonal violence

Abstract: Among female victims of violence, pre-existing mental illness is associated with increased risk of violent reinjury and hospital reencounter. Improved efforts at addressing mental illness in trauma patients is critical to ongoing prevention efforts to reduce violent reinjury.
