“…These two gentlemen supervised the work of 9 technicians who prepared subsurface drainage plans for 1 630ha (4082 acres) in 1913 (Quebec Government 1913). In 1918, the Macdonald College Department of Agricultural Engineering was founded (Snell 1963) and took over the preparation of drainage plans.
