“…It provides evidence that adding different abilities in the assessment process can improve the accuracy of the giftedness identification (Calero & García-Martin, 2014;Gallagher, 2008, Hernández-Torrano, Férrandiz, Ferrando, Prieto, & Férnandez, 2014Renzulli & Gaesser, 2015). Literature recognizes the multidimensional nature of giftedness (Feldman, 2000;Heller, 2013;Li et al, 2009;Kaufman & Sternberg, 2008;Jarosewich, Pfeiffer, & Morris, 2002;Robinson & Clinkenbeard, 2008) although it is not common to find evidence of criterion validity of comprehensive measures in gifted samples (Bracken & Brown, 2006, Baer & Kaufman, 2005Kaufman, Plucker, & Russell, 2012;Kerr & Sodano, 2003, Hazin et al, 2009, Sternberg, 2010. So, BaAH/S validity results assure that the addition of creativity in different domains can provide complementary information in identifying talents.…”

“…Not enough concern, he argued, was being given to factors outside the scope of IQ measurement. His contemporary criticism of the two foremost researchers in the field of gifted education gave rise to the study of sepa-rate, nonintellective factors of giftedness, among them creativity, as well as a factor that Witty termed "drive" (Robinson & Clinkenbeard, 2008).…”

“…The identification procedures of high intellectual abilities (HIA) have evolved from traditional approaches which followed the influential Terman's (Terman, 1926) idea that HIA was unidimensional and directly related to scoring high on intelligence tests; to contemporary approaches, which involve a multidimensional conceptualisation as well as multiple sources of data obtained through a variety of instruments and strategies based both on performance and nonperformance methods (Acar et al, 2016;Pfeiffer, 2008). The issue had an important shift at the beginning of the 20 th century, when the concept of HIA was equally associated with high abilities and exceptional performance (Robinson and Clinkenbeard, 2008) due to the increasing interest of experts on creativity and its products (Warne, 2016). Nowadays, few experts in the gifted field embrace the classic view of giftedness as a mere high IQ (Sternberg et al, 2011).…”
