Historical Mapping vs. Archaeology: Rethinking Fort Sancti Spiritus (1527–1529)

Abstract: The first cartographic representations of the Paraná delta have been used to characterize the elements that comprised the archaeological site of Fort Sancti Spiritus, an iconic place in the beginnings of the colonization process initiated by the crown of Castile in the southern sector of the Plata drainage basin.
