Histological Evidences of Autograft of Dentin/Cementum Granules into Unhealed Socket at 5 Months after Tooth Extraction for Implant Placement

Abstract: The aim of this clinical case study was to observe biopsy tissues at 5 months after an autograft of a partially demineralized dentin/cementum matrix (pDDM) into a tooth-extracted socket exhibiting healing failure. A 66-year-old female presented with healing failure in the cavity for 2 months after the extraction (#36). Initial X-ray photos showed a clear remainder of lamina dura (#36), a residual root (#37), and a horizontal impaction (#38). The vital tooth (#38) was selected for pDDM. The third molar crushed … Show more

“…Guidelines from the United Kingdom, Australia, and North America indicate an INR between 2 and 3 or between 2.5 and 3.5 for mechanical heart valves [24][25][26] . Patients diagnosed with non-valvular atrial fibrillation often get prescriptions for oral anticoagulants as a means of mitigating their risk of developing thromboembolic complications [27][28][29] . Patients who have had adipose tissue transplanted do not need regular coagulation monitoring or lab-based dose changes; instead, the proper dosage is established by the patient's GFR (GFR) [30][31][32] .…”

“…Because of this, the anticoagulant drug you take may not need to be as strong. In order to provide better care for those who have received organ transplants or adipose tissue, the medical and nursing sectors both need further training as well as fresh ideas [27][28][29] . This study isn't perfect; for example, there are charts involved, and access to the data is limited [30][31][32] .…”

“…Extracted human teeth are the most common source for harvesting TDM raw material [ 43 , 46 , 49 , 50 , 56 , 57 , 58 , 59 , 60 , 61 , 62 , 63 , 64 , 65 ]. Experiments conducted with animal TDMs, such as bovine [ 43 , 48 ], canine [ 28 ], goat [ 49 ], monkey [ 28 ] and porcine TDMs [ 28 , 31 , 32 , 46 , 66 , 67 , 68 ], show that these are also feasible.…”

“…Treated-dentin-matrix-based bio-material’s application in bone tissue regeneration mainly focuses on alveolar ridge preservation and socket preservation after extraction [ 62 , 64 , 85 , 86 , 87 ]. HE staining, Masson staining and immunostaining are commonly used to verify the mineralized tissue formation.…”

“…In 2003, some scholars reported for the first time the successful case of clinical application of autogenous tooth and bone meal in maxillary sinus lifting [21]. In 2007, Japanese scholars invented tooth grinding machine, which made the production of autogenous tooth and bone meal more convenient [22]. In 2009, the Korea Tooth Bank was established to collect and store teeth and prepare them into bone grafts [23].…”
