Histologic Evaluation of Horizontal Frozen Sections: Microanatomy of the Eyelid

Abstract

The histologic appearance of tissues may be altered in horizontal frozen sections. In areas of specialized structures such as the eyelid, this can create confusion. The microanatomy of the eyelid in vertical paraffin sections and in horizontal frozen sections is presented.
