Histochemical Studies on Penis of the Boar (Sus Scrofa Domesticus)

Abstract: The present investigation on gross, histological and histochemical features of boar penis was done on six male pig samples which were examined for gross details and processed for routine and special staining techniques such as H & E, Masson's Trichrome, Wilder's method, ALP, ACP, Oil red O, SDH and Shultz methods. Gross anatomical features revealed that penis of boar was cylindrical in shape with a root, body and tip which extended up to umbilicus.
