Hilbert–Huang Transform and Energy Rate Functions for Earthquake Source Characterization—A Study from the Japan Trench

Abstract: The Hilbert–Huang Transform (HHT) has been sparsely applied to problems in seismology, although previous studies have pointed to its broad scope.
