“…The SWCNTs behaved as electron donors and the Au ions (Au 3 + ) accepted electrons from SWCNTs, forming nanoparticles on the surface of SWCNTs, which increased the electron transfer rate. Recently, Zargoosha et al [109] reported a novel glucose biosensor based on the chemiluminescence (CL) detection of enzymatically generated H 2 O 2 by the effective immobilization of GOx/CNTs/AuNPs in nafion film on graphite support. CNTs and AuNPs offer excellent catalytic activity toward H 2 O 2 generation in the enzymatic reaction between GOx and glucose, which would enable the sensitive determination of glucose.…”

“…Thus, the determination of glucose is mainly focused on the electrode modifications in order to decrease the overpotential and increase the electron transfer kinetics. For this reason, a large range of materials such as redox mediators (Jiang et al 2008), conducting polymers (Çolak et al 2012), carbon nanotubes (Zargoosh et al 2012) have been employed to construct of the electrochemical sensors for detection of glucose. On the other hand, in past decades, nanomaterials have attracted great research interest owing to their desirable chemical, physical, and electronic properties that are different from those of bulk materials.…”
