“…As for the MoS 2 QDs@MWCNTs, the early weight loss is attributed to water evaporation followed by the calcination of MWCNTs at the onset temperature of about 500 °C. The onset temperature of MWCNT calcination in the MoS 2 QDs@MWCNTs sample is about 100 °C lower than that of the MWCNT sample, showing that the MWCNTs get more individualized after anchoring of MoS 2 , in good accordance with the TEM results (Figure c). Evidently, the well-dispersed MWCNTs and the MoS 2 QDs lead to enhanced surface area of MoS 2 QDs@MWCNTs, which will be further proved by the chronocoulometry technique in the Electrochemical Characterization section.…”

“…This can be ascribed to the high electrocatalytic effect and electrical conductivity of Ag NPs, thus enhancing the electron transfer rate. 19,26,27 Further to this, as shown in Figure S1, the catalytic effect of the composite increased with Ag loading with an optimum weight ratio of 60%.…”

“…TBZ, a benzimidazole derivative, is frequently used in the post-harvest processing of fruits to prevent mold and parasitic spoilage. TBZ is also known to cause moderate to acute dermal toxicity and can be a potential carcinogen. Hence, the peroxidase-like activity of Ag-MoS 2 , which generates a colored product upon TBZ oxidation, can be practical for the rapid colorimetric detection of such pesticides.…”

“…Meanwhile, several novel two‐dimensional (2D) materials such as molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 , F. Cheng et al., 2020; X. Lin et al., 2019), Graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C 3 N 4 , Hatamie et al., 2019), and boron nitride (BN, Kokulnathan et al., 2020) have been introduced to assist direct detection of electroactive food safety hazards. The introduction of novel 2D materials into electrochemical sensors obviously improved the detection performances including linear range, sensitivity, and stability.…”

“…Meanwhile, several novel two-dimensional (2D) materials such as molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 , F. Cheng et al, 2020;, ing good electrical conductivity have increasingly been applied in the electrochemistry field (Rasheed et al, 2020;Ren et al, 2020). MXenes have a general formula of M n+1 X n T x (n = 1, 2, or 3), where M represents an early transition metal; X is the carbon and/or nitrogen, and T is the surface termination (O, OH, F, and/or Cl; Ming et al, 2020).…”
