“…Other Ni TMP and conventional Ni catalysts such as Ni NP, Raney Ni, Ni (0), and NiO, showed minimal catalytic activity in comparison to Ni 2 P. The control experiments were also done with various metal phosphides on different supports, out of which nickel phosphide supported on mordenite (Ni 2 P/mordenite) showed the best catalytic activity as shown in (Figure 18j,k). In addition, Yu et al [255] prepared a bifunctional Ni 3 P/gAl 2 O 3 which provides both metal site as well as Lewis acidic site for the selective hydrogenation of furfural to cyclopentanone.
