Highly efficient Ru(ii)–alkylidene based Hoveyda–Grubbs catalysts for ring-closing metathesis reactions

Abstract: Three novel phosphine-free Ru-alkylidenes (7a–7c) have been synthesized and utilized as efficient catalysts for ring closing metathesis (RCM) reaction.
