Abstract:Magnetic biochar was prepared in one step with simultaneous activation and magnetization processes under CO2 atmosphere in the presence of a mixture of FeCl3·6H2O and hawthorn seeds as precursor. The magnetic biochar used as a potential adsorbent for the removal of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution was characterized by BET, FTIR, SEM and vibrating sample magnetometer. The produced magnetic biochar showed a high surface area of 489.166 m2/g, a pore size of 2.16 nm, a pore volume of 0.26 cm3 /g and a sat… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
