Abstract: Poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-co-HFP) was defluorinated in the presence of alkali, and 4-vinyl benzyl chloride (VBC) was grafted by free radical copolymerization in the presence of an initiator to obtain PVDF-co-HFP-g-VBC.
