Abstract: PURPOSE OF THE STUDY. Because pet allergies are associated with asthma, the authors investigated whether highefficiency particulate-arresting (HEPA) filtration had any effect on reducing indoor allergens and bronchial hyperreactivity in children with asthma who were sensitized to cat and dog.
