High Tibial Osteotomy

Abstract: To address lower limb malalignment with concomitant medial compartment osteoarthritis, meniscal deficiency, focal chondral defects, and ligamentous instability, high tibia osteotomy (HTO) is a reliable treatment option. In order to achieve a good long-term outcome with HTO, a comprehensive history and physical examination, together with a meticulous patient selection and careful pre-operative planning, and selection of the appropriate fixation technique and rehabilitation protocol are paramount.
