High-temperature abrasion of refractories

Abstract: Under the microscope a specimen of combined antioxidant heated at 1400~ exhibited finely dispersed muilite and colorless glass phase with RI = 1.505 • 0.003, and also corundum and silicon. On the x-ray patterns, in addition to lines for these phases, we noted lines confirming the presence of small amounts of =-cristobalite.
