High Step-Up DC—DC Converter for AC Photovoltaic Module with MPPT Control

Abstract: This paper presents the high gain step-up BOOST converter which is essential to step up the low output voltage from PV panel to the high voltage according to the requirement of the application. In this paper a high gain BOOST converter with coupled inductor technique is proposed with the MPPT control. Without extreme duty ratios and the numerous turns-ratios of a coupled inductor this converter achieves a high step-up voltage-conversion ratio and the leakage energy of the coupled inductor is efficiently recycl… Show more

“…The power converters associated with fuel cells should have specific characteristics. Undeniably, the fuel cell is very sensitive to low and high frequency currents created by power electronic converters and loads [8]. Low and high frequency components of currents reduce the PEMFC output power and decrease the durability of the membranes [9].…”

“…In recent decades, the generation and consumption of electricity supplied by renewable energy systems have grown, and it is expected to continually expand. Solar and wind energy can be highlighted as non-polluting energy sources, recently demonstrating a significant increase in the electric sector (Hart, 2010;Monfared, et al, 2012;Sundar, et al, 2014;Xiao, 2017). As a non-polluting energy source, solar energy has stood out as being inexhaustible on the terrestrial time scale, currently becoming the most promising renewable energy (Massawe, 2013).…”

“…In addition, this system does not require the knowledge of the exact model [1217]. To transmit the power at the required voltage and current level from the PV array to the load, boost converter is used [18]. The interleaved soft-switching boost converter (ISSBC) shares the input current all along each phase, thereby decreasing the current rating of the switching device.…”
