Charge Parity asymmetry in charmless B meson decays is a key issue to be understood. Many theoretical calculations have been performed using short distance factorization approaches which, in general, do not take into account the CPT invariance constraint. For each channel with CP violation there is an equal amount of CP asymmetry in another channel or other channels, with an opposite sign. This happens if these channels are coupled through final state interactions (FSI). In the specific process B → P V , involving one pseudo-scalar and one vector particle in the final state, we argue that the CP asymmetry, inherent from a short distance mechanism, could be suppressed due to the CPT constraint. In this case, we propose a sensitive and practical experimental method to identify even a small CP asymmetry, which provides the values for A CP without the need for an amplitude analysis. This method, if applied directly to data, will enable to extract the CP asymmetry information in a model independent way and check to which extend the suggested suppression due to the CPT constraint is verified. * pmagalhaes@cbpf.br

We report a measurement of the differential cross section of π 0 pair production in single-tag two-photon collisions, γ * γ → π 0 π 0 , in e + e − scattering. The cross section is measured for Q 2 3 up to 30 GeV 2 , where Q 2 is the negative of the invariant mass squared of the tagged photon, in the kinematic range 0.5 GeV < W < 2.1 GeV and | cos θ * | < 1.0 for the total energy and pion scattering angle, respectively, in the γ * γ center-of-mass system. The results are based on a data sample of 759 fb −1 collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider. The transition form factor of the f0(980) and that of the f2(1270) with the helicity-0, -1, and -2 components separately are measured for the first time and are compared with theoretical calculations.

The main dynamical mechanisms of the reaction π − p → a 0 0 (980)n → π 0 ηn at high energies, currently investigated at Serpukhov and Brookhaven, are considered in detail. It is shown that the observed forward peak in its differential cross section can be explained within the framework of the Regge pole model only by the conspiring ρ 2 Regge pole exchange. The tentative estimates of the absolute π − p → a 0 0 (980)n → π 0 ηn reaction cross section at P π − lab = 18 GeV/c are obtained: σ ≈ 200 nb and, in the forward direction, dσ/dt ≈ 940 nb/GeV 2 . The contribution of the one pion exchange, which is forbidden by G-parity and which can rise owing to the f 0 0 (980)−a 0 0 (980) mixing, is also estimate. A role of the Regge cuts in the non-flip helicity amplitude is briefly examined and a conclusion is made that the contributions of the cuts have to be inessential in comparison with the conspiring ρ 2 Regge pole exchange.
