High-spin states in odd-odd174Re

Abstract: High-spin states in the odd-odd 174 Re have been investigated via the 152 Sm( 27 Al, 5nγ ) 174 Re reaction with the help of excitation function, x-γ , and γ -γ coincidence measurements. Five rotational bands have been observed and their configurations were assigned based on alignments, band crossing frequencies, electromagnetic properties, and the estimated bandhead excitation energies. Low-spin signature inversion has been identified in the two-quasiparticle bands built on πh 11/2 ⊗ νi 13/2 , πh 9/2 ⊗ νi 13/2… Show more

“…The v 2 of p(2 iq) and p(1 iq) show similar centrality dependence with that of v 2 of p(0 iq) and p, but are systematically lower than the v 2 of p(0 iq) and p. The p(0 iq), p(1 iq), p(2 iq) and p are produced at the same time at early stage based on a string-excitation scheme [32], but part of p(1 iq) and p(2 iq) are produced by the decay of unstable baryons. It means the formation time of p(0 iq) and p should be earlier than that of p(1 iq) and p(2 iq).…”

“…The excitation and fragmentation of color strings play important roles in the particle production at high energies in the UrQMD model. The version of the UrQMD model we used in this article is 2.3, and no modification was made to the model itself except for some additional outputs for tracing the particle's origin as explained in ref [32]. We marked particles as transported and produced by tracing the number of initial quarks in a particle.…”

“…As shown in Refs. [25,26], produced and transported particles generally have different collective flows. The splitting between directed flows of various quark species could be partially responsible for the v 1 splitting between protons and antiprotons as well as that between π + and π − , as reported in Ref.…”

“…Meanwhile, a considerable amount of data of the high-spin rotational bands in this mass region have been obtained in this process. Especially some doubly-odd nuclei, e.g., 166,168,170,172 Ta [11,12,13,14], 168,170,172,174,176 Re [15,16,17,18,19], etc., which are characterized by fairly small quadrupole deformations, provide a good opportunity to the understanding of the dependence of band crossing frequencies and angular momentum alignments on the occupation of specific single-particle orbitals.…”
