“…The quadrupole moment is measured only in 163 Lu ͑Q t ഠ 10.7 b͒ [7]. However, the dynamic moments of inertia are very similar in all these bands, and larger than those of the bands built on the normal deformed (ND) structures.…”

“…Rotational bands based on the deformation driving pi 13͞2 intruder configuration have been observed in the even-N Lu isotopes 163 167 Lu [5,7,8], and in odd-odd 164 Lu [9] where the i 13͞2 proton is coupled to different neutron orbitals. The quadrupole moment is measured only in 163 Lu ͑Q t ഠ 10.7 b͒ [7].…”

“…[6]. 2 , which was used to extract δ 2 . We note that for the bands built on the 9/2 − [514] and the 7/2 + [404] configurations, the δ 2 mixing ratio has been extracted from angular correlation measurements [13,15].…”

“…In those works, the (signature splitting of the) energy spectrum, the B(M1)/B(E2) transition strength ratios, and the experimentally available Q (1) /Q (2) ratios [where B(E2; I = p) = 5 16π I K20|I − p, K 2 Q (p) ] are fitted. This latter ratio is very sensitive to the γ deformation and nearly independent of β: Q (1) /Q (2) ∼ cos(30 • −γ )/cos(30 • + γ ). These calculations indicate a significant triaxiality for the odd-Z 161,163,165,167 Lu isotopes, with increasing γ deformation as the neutron number decreases.…”
