High serum copeptin may be a marker of an increased carotid intima-media thickness in asymptomatic patients with type 1 diabetes.

Abstract: Copeptin is a stable peptide derived from cleavage of the precursor of arginine-vasopressin (AVP), [1,2] that can be easily measured by using a simple rapid assay.
