High-resolution ultrasound in the assessment of the distal biceps brachii tendinous complex

Abstract: Using the systematics hereby proposed, high-resolution US is reliable for the morphometric assessment of the distal biceps brachii tendinous complex. The external bicipital aponeurosis is morphometrically the most variable structure.

“…Compression of the brachial artery in the elbow region is caused by bicipital aponeurosis (BA), also known as lacertus fibrosus, which represents a thickening of the brachial fascia that joins the biceps brachii muscle to the ulna.
