Abstract:<p>Coronal mass ejections (CMEs) are impulsive outbursts of coronal plasma bound in magnetic structures. Their initiation and evolution into the heliosphere covers several orders of magnitude of temporal and spatial scales that can be observed with space-borne extreme ultraviolet imagers, coronagraphs and heliospheric imagers. In this work we present a systematic investigation of the early dynamics of CMEs including their kinematics, orientation and geometrical evolution. For this purpose, a dedi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
