Abstract: Using our earlier developed protocol, mass spectrometry imaging of small endogenous peptides (and a selection of small metabolites) can be successfully performed directly in tissue sections of formaldehyde-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples, such as those available in Homo sapiens biobanks.
