High-resolution laser spectroscopy of the X1Σ+ and (1)3Σ+ states of 23Na85Rb molecule

Abstract: High-resolution spectra of the B1Π→X1Σ+ transition of 23Na85Rb molecule are measured by the technique of the Doppler-free optical–optical double resonance polarization spectroscopy (OODRPS). The molecular constants of the X1Σ+(v″=5−30) levels are determined, and the potential energy curve is constructed up to v″=30 by the RKR method. The time-resolved fluorescence intensity following the excitation to the B1Π(v′=5,J′= around 20) level is measured, and the lifetime of the B1Π(v′=5) level in collisionless limit … Show more

“…Rovibrational states to within 5% of dissociation have been observed in both the triplet a 3 Σ + [18] and singlet X 1 Σ + potential wells [19,20]. The rotationless interatomic potentials V s (r) and V t (r), corresponding to the X 1 Σ + and a 3 Σ + states, respectively, have been determined through RKR analysis, and a direct fit to the singlet spectrum [20] using a modified Lennard-Jones (MLJ) [21] parametrization has also been performed.…”

“…2, the experimental lifetimes coincide with the lifetimes calculated in this work within the experimental error (±4%). In [31], the life time of the B 1 Π state of NaRb for the vibrationalrotational level v = 5, j ~ 20 was measured to be = 17.8 ns. This value agrees well with the lifetime calcu lated in this study ( = 17.61 ns).…”
