High‐Quality Hybrid Perovskite Thin Films by Post‐Treatment Technologies in Photovoltaic Applications

Mingguang Li,
Zheng Zhu,
Zhizhi Wang
et al.

Abstract: Incredible progress in photovoltaic devices based on hybrid perovskite materials has been made in the past few decades, and a record‐certified power conversion efficiency (PCE) of over 26% has been achieved in single‐junction perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In the fabrication of high‐efficiency PSCs, the postprocessing procedures toward perovskites are essential for designing high‐quality perovskite thin films; developing efficient and reliable post‐treatment techniques is very important to promote the progress… Show more

“…For example, uracil was introduced to manipulate the film growth by Wang et al [3] . Though effective and promising, one can still expect the potential shortcomings such as limited chemical interaction sites, insufficient surface protection [4] and extra processing steps [5] , not to mention their inferior capability of reducing lead leakage. Specifically, the limited chemical interaction sites would result in limited passivation efficacy of crystallographic imperfections and limited ion immobilization effect.…”

“…17 However, post-annealing treatments of asdeposited films has been used as an alternative approach to improve the crystallization and healing of defective perovskite films. 20 Among other efficient crystallization methods, annealing under various atmospheres has been proven to be effective in reducing non-radiative recombination. 21 However, no such strategies have been employed for MAPbCl 3 films yet.…”

“…This is the underlying reason that a two-step deposition process comprising PbCl 2 film dipping in a MACl solution was introduced as an efficient approach for better crystallization of MAPbCl 3 films with more flexibility in dissolving the precursor components . However, post-annealing treatments of as-deposited films has been used as an alternative approach to improve the crystallization and healing of defective perovskite films .
