Abstract:Usually, high temperature decreases the output performance of triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) because of the dissipation of triboelectric charges through the thermionic emission. It would be highly valuable if the high temperature can be used to enhance the output performance of TENG. In this paper, through a simulation combining the electron-cloud-potential-well model for triboelectrification and the thermionic-emission model, we find that there exists an optimum temperature difference ∆T between friction … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
