High percentage of responders to acei as a significant success factor in the treatment of hypertension

Abstract: High blood pressure (BP) is the leading cause of premature death, with about 10 million deaths and over 200 million inabilities according to age. Despite treatment, this disability has increased in 40% of the population with hypertension (HTN). New recommendations for the treatment of HTN emphasize the importance of improving BP control where, for majority of patients, the best approach is to use 1 or 2 drugs with a simple algorithm.
